In the heart of the Wadi Safar desert landscape, BBA-Architetti & Partners has developed a series of concepts for the Diriyah Sales Center, with the aim of combining cultural identity, functional efficiency, and environmental sustainability. The projects explore different interpretations of traditional Najdi style, reimagining it in a contemporary key to create spaces that are welcoming, representative, and high-performing.
With these concepts, BBA-Architetti & Partners intends to continue along a path of active collaboration with the Local Partner and developers in Saudi Arabia. The union of international expertise and local knowledge is the key to transforming ideas into iconic, sustainable architectures deeply rooted in Arab culture.

Diriyah Tent Pavilion
A reinterpretation of the traditional Arabian tent: a compact GRC volume in sand tones combined with a wide PTFE tensile canopy. Lightness and neutral shades ensure stylistic coherence, offering functional interiors and generous shaded areas for events and social interaction.

Diriyah Courtyard Hall
Inspired by Najdi settlements, this concept is organized around a central courtyard. Orthogonal volumes in earthy tones, timber mashrabiya screens, and shaded arcades echo tradition while ensuring climatic comfort and flexible spaces for exhibitions, lounges, and meetings.

The Stony Pavilion
A monumental entrance portal leads into a sequence of solid volumes and inner courtyards, balancing solids and voids. The use of local materials and landscaping elements such as palm trees, water features, and stone paving strengthens the connection between functionality and architectural identity.

Linear Promenade
A shaded, linear path guides visitors along a continuous promenade where interior and exterior spaces merge seamlessly. A simple, horizontal architectural language reflects traditional settlement principles with a refined modern identity.
